Hang in There
Sunday, I was returning from a 6 mile hike at Padilla Bay Shore Trail. I have sent this hike to you once before but I have some new photos to share. Also, some photos of hang gliders I thought you would enjoy :)
Mount Baker Volcano. We are in our 4th year of drought. You can see the snow at the top is starting to melt and expose rock.

The barn "is not on fire or someone cooking inside" :) The barn has been abandoned for years. This is an illusion I created with my camera lining up with a smokestack from a refinery in Fidalgo Bay
Padilla Bay Shore Trail is on a dike that keeps brackish water to the left (West) from entering the farm lands on the right (East) side of the dike.

Padilla Bay Shore Trail on top of the dike. It is 4.25 miles
round trip but if you extend your hike to Bay View State Park
it is 6 miles in total
On the way home I took Route 11 (Chuckanut Drive) and saw 5 hang gliders descending from the top of Blanchard Mountain and landing in a grass pasture behind me. I pulled off the road and starting shooting photos of their flight and landings. I will let the following photos speak for themselves. Enjoy ! :)
